Woodbridge Pickleball Club President Nick Katsarelis and fellow PPR Certified Pickleball Coach Jason Shriner visited River Ridge and Westminster to teach introduction to pickleball and skills and drills clinics to approximately 24 pickleballers. Nick introduced pickleball to about 12 brand new and beginner players while Jason helped advanced beginners refine their soft game focusing on dinks and drop shots. Thank you to club member Sheila for connecting us and for the River Ridge and Westminster communities for hosting us!
Thank you to the Woodbridge Pickleball Club Maintenance Committee for organizing the first Clip, Zip and Sip event Sunday March 26th. More than 20 club members gathered at the AJ Ferlazzo courts to resecure the windscreens along the fence line. The Maintenance Committee also took the opportunity to pick up trash around the courts and clean out the storage cabinet. Sweatshirts, sweatpants, t-shirts, hoodies, gloves and hats that had accumulated in the cabinet were donated to those in need. After the work was finished some members chose to stay and play pickleball while others enjoyed dinner and drinks at Uncle Julio’s at Stonebridge. Thank you to all who attended. Your efforts help ensure our courts remain some of the best in Northern Virginia!
After a tough season of the Woodbridge Pickleball Club Winter Pickledome League, Team Jeffy emerged victorious winning gold. Congratulations! And congratulations to all of the league participants and for making the league at Montclair successful. Thank you to Dave Johnson, Johnny Fagler, and Mike Kline for organizing and running the league.
